If you answered yes to any of these questions then you need to come to the kick off party for ManaTween Book Club sponsored by Kiki Magazine. Kiki's theme for summer is extreme sports and we're celebrating that with an extreme roller derby demonstration with the Cincinnati Rollergirls! Thursday, May 21, 2009A great picture book for summer! Check out: A Couple of Boys Have the Best Week Ever by Marla Frazee, a 2008 Caldecott Honor Book!!James and Eamon are going to Bill and Pam's house (Eamon's grandparents) for a week during the summer to go to nature camp! While Bill wants to take the boys to a penguin exhibit and to teach them all about nature, the boys seem to have their own ideas about what fun is (and sadly, nature is not on the agenda!). Here at blue manatee children's bookstore, it means The 3rd Annual Summer Sanatee Story Showdown (June 1-28)! Built around two brackets, books are competing for your votes and a chance to progress to the next round, and ultimately be crowned the winner.Voters will be enrolled in weekly drawings.
