blue manatee welcomes children's author Michael Scotto for a signing of his debut book, Latasha and the Little Red Tornado. A heartwarming tale about maturity, independence, and one wild little dog, the book follows the adventures of Latasha, a third grader who cannot wait to grow up, and Ella Fitzgerald, a puppy who absolutely refuses to.

Free event, open to all ages.

During this event, a portion of the sales will go to Every Child Succeeds, an organization which assists families in Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky through home visits that help at-risk, first-time parents create a nurturing, healthy environment.

"Curious Critters" Signing

Join award-winning photographer and writer David FitzSimmons in exploring amazing, up-close worlds of common North American animals—from butterflies and birds to frogs and flying squirrels. David will perform parts of his new picture book, Curious Critters.Hear him shriek like a hawk and call like a frog; watch him hop like a frog and slither like a snake. Learn how butterflies drink, ways mammals fly, and why frogs sing. Show includes puppets and take-home activities for all children!

Spanish Playdate for Preschoolers

Join Ana Gallegos-Yavorsky, native Spanish speaker, for this fun Spanish Playdate.
Listen to and repeat a simple lesson in Spanish, then color, play and sing what you have learned. Take a reminder home to practice with mommy. Hasta la vista!
