Illustrator Jeffrey Ebbeler returns to blue manatee to share his newest picture book, "Tiger in My Soup." In this story, written by Kashmira Sheth, an adventurous boy defeats an unlikely foe in this story of imagination, reading, and tigers!

Amazing Amy's Writing Club

Join Amy Dean, a certified teacher and writing instructor, for a writing workshop with an emphasis on nurturing creativity, skill development - and fun!

This week, we will begin by writing a bedtime story or summer story inspired by the poems of Robert Louis Stevenson--in particular "Bed In Summer." Also, we will continue learning revising and editing skills as we polish some of our past stories to get ready for our Amazing Amy's Literary Magazine story collection to be published in May/June. 

Themes change weekly, so keep stopping by! 

All work will be posted on blue manatee's blog (with parental and author permission).

Create a gorgeous flower in two mediums with Miss Kelli from blue manatee and Sandra Gross from Brazee Street Studios. Using the artist Hundertwasser as our inspiration, we'll make a collage flower to take home today and a glass flower to be fired and picked up later!
